Lace Eggs

These pretty, dainty eggs will lend a Victorian charm and romantic flair to your Easter decorations.
Lace Eggs - Easter Egg Decorating Project
Supplies Needed:
• plastic eggs, (the ones that open across the middle)
• COTTON lace by the yard (do not try nylon as it won't work
• ribbon flowers, (or any small silk flowers) and any decorations you would like
• glue, you can use a hot glue, but any glue will work,
• fabric stiffener
• plastic wrap
GET GOING
1. Cut your lace 1/4 inch bigger than the egg half.
2. Dip the cotton lace in fabric stiffener; lay over the plastic wrap covered egg tuck the ends under the edge to help hold the lace on.
3. Let dry, over night. Pull the extra lace out from under the egg and carefully trim off the extra. Right at the bin of the lace.
4. You will have two halves, glue those together. If they don't fit perfectly, don’t worry because you will be covering that area with ribbon and flowers anyways.
Decorate the eggs with small ribbon and/or silk flowers, artificial grass or whatever else you like.
NOTE:
Make sure you WRAP your egg halves in plastic wrap or your lace egg won't come off!
Do not try nylon lace as it won't work.
