My Favorite Bird Seed Wreath Recipe
I like this recipe a lot. It turned out the best.
We also made a few popcorn strings to go with the other treats. Tasty gifts for our feather friends and a lovely decoration too...

Ingredients for Bird Seed Wreath
For a bundt-pan sized bird seed wreath, you’ll need:
- 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup warm water
- 3 tablespoons light corn syrup
- 1 package unflavored gelatin
- 4 cups bird food (such as seeds, peanuts, berries, dried fruits)
- Bundt pan or other mold
- Nonstick cooking spray

How to Make Birdseed Christmas Ornaments
Instructions
things you'll need:
- 3 cups birdseed
- 4 envelopes (¼-oz.) unflavored gelatin
- Cookie cutters
- Nonstick baking sheet
- Vegetable oil baking spray
- Wax paper
- 24-gauge craft wire
- Decorative ribbon
- 1Line a nonstick baking sheet with wax paper.

- 3Cut a 2-foot length of craft wire for each cookie cutter.

- 9Allow the birdseed ornaments to dry for one hour.
- 10Gently twist each birdseed ornament to loosen it from the wax paper. Slide the wax paper out from under the ornaments, leaving the ornaments on the baking sheet.

- 12Bake the ornaments at 250 degree F for one hour or until the ornaments are thoroughly hard and dry. Remove the birdseed ornaments from the oven and allow them to cool.
- 13Press each ornament out of its cookie cutter. Twist the wire on the top of each ornament into a loop. Attach a decorative ribbon to each ornament.

Materials (for each)
Birch branch, 2-inch diameter, cut to 4-inch length (body)
Birch branch, 1-inch diameter, cut to 1 1⁄2-inch length (head)
Twigs in varying lengths (for antlers, legs, and neck)
Drill with 1⁄8- and 3⁄8-inch bits
Twine or yarn

Directions
1. Drill four 1⁄8-inch holes into bottom of body for legs; drill two 1⁄8-inch holes in top of head for antlers.
2. Drill 3⁄8-inch hole on top of body and on bottom of head for neck.
3. Insert four legs into drilled holes and secure with glue or hot glue.
4. Trim legs with scissors so that body stands squarely.
5. Attach neck, head and antlers in same way.
6. Knot twine or yarn to form tail and glue onto back of reindeer.

- Card stock or colored paper
- Hole punch
- Twine or string
- Clear holiday lights (optional)
- Instructions
- To make the tree, insert a branch in a flowerpot filled with pebbles, rocks, or marbles. Cut leaf shapes from card stock or colored paper, use a hole punch to make a hole in each, and attach a loop of twine or string.
